DOI Private Clinic Rates & Rebates

At Doctors of Ivanhoe, we believe that quality healthcare shouldn’t be rushed. We provide extended consultation times (15 minutes standard, with longer appointments available) to ensure you receive thorough and personalised care. We minimise wait times to respect your valuable time.

As a private billing clinic, we strive to offer exceptional value with competitive fees. Our transparent payment process involves paying the gap amount upfront, with your Medicare rebate processed instantly at reception, minimising your out-of-pocket expenses. We also offer reduced fees for pensioners and healthcare card holders. (Please note: All advertised pricing assumes access to a Medicare subsidy. Pricing will differ for patients without Medicare. Please contact us for specific pricing information.)

Doctors of Ivanhoe Fees

  • ‘Doctors of Ivanhoe’ is a private billing practice.
  • Payment is required at the time of consultation.
  • We accept EFT, VISA, MASTERCARD, CHEQUE only.
  • Medicare rebates can be claimed on-site directly back into your EFT account

Where Medicare rebates apply, the following fees apply to each patient seen by a GP doctor or Nurse, regardless of the length of the medical service provided.

Failing to Attend

Booking an appointment and not showing up takes away appointment times for other people who might really need them. Failure to attend fees are more about keeping appointments open for others.

As a courtesy to our other clients and practitioners, a fee of approximately $100 may be charged for appointments missed or cancelled with less than 2 hours’ notice. To ensure you don’t incur this fee, we will send you several reminders via your preferred contact method, and we kindly request that you confirm your appointment.

Standard appointment for adults. Our standard OOP fee for normal consultation is now $70 plus the appropriate Medicare schedule fee item number. Note: *A surcharge of $30-$40 applies on weekends and after 6pm on weekdays. Our after-hours services require an out-of-pocket fee of $300. Please contact us for more details.

Private Billing?

We are a PRIVATE BILLING practice. At the same time, all GPs at our practice are independent practitioners who decide their own fees.

Why should I pay a private fee?

At our practice, we passionately believe in providing access to high quality healthcare to our community. By becoming a mixed billing practice, we are able to meet the rising costs of running a practice to minimise wait times, retain high quality GPs, provide valuable consultations and facilitate services like Women’s Health so that you and your family receive the healthcare that you deserve in a family friendly environment.

How do I pay for my appointment?

All fees will need to be paid in full on the day of your appointment
Fees can be paid by, credit or EFTPOS
You will be required to pay the full fee for the consultation and then the practice will submit the claim to medicare on your behalf.
